Everyday parking becomes a force of habit; you know where and how you like to park. Once you get out of that comfort zone like heading to an event or a new location, parking can make or break your day, it’s why nearly half of us find looking for somewhere to leave our car so stressful.

The thing is, technology improves, services get better, and new ways to do things are constantly appearing and in terms of getting around that makes life miles easier and much less stressful.

Pre-booking is one of the biggest changes to travel that people have a lot of misconceptions about, but we’re going to dispel some of those myths and explain why you should fully embrace planning ahead.

Myth 1: “You must arrive at an exact time when pre-booking”

Your booking has a start and end time, but that doesn’t mean you have to be there exactly when it is due to begin. It’s ideal, but not necessary.

Every journey has those moments that don’t go smoothly, to keep in mind, traffic, a queue at a petrol station, a break at services taking longer because you can’t find the right sandwich in a meal deal – there are things that hold us all up.

That’s why as long as you arrive and depart within your booked time you’re fine. And if your delay is a lot longer or even means a trip gets called off, you can cancel a booking and then rearrange your trip for free through Evology up to 24 hours before you’re due to arrive.

Myth 2: “It’s complicated to book parking online”

Pre-booking itself is really simple;

You might think that there’s always space on a car park, but studies have found that people spend up to 44 hours a year looking for parking.

Instead of driving around hoping to find a car park why not look at pay for your stay in advance?

Sometimes pre-booking isn’t just about the space, it’s about speeding up and making the rest of your journey better.

We keep our availability up to date, so once the pre-booking spaces are sold out, you can no longer book that car park. But don’t worry, you can always find other sites nearby.
