How to identify authentic Evology services:

QR Code Fraud
Because of the risk posed to our customers, Evology DO NOT use QR codes on our signage in order to help you pay for parking.
The parking industry in general has seen that car parks are being increasingly targeted by covering legitimate QR codes with fraudulent ones. These fake codes lead to websites designed to steal personal information. Here are some tips on what to look out for…
- Look for stickers or signs of tampering: If a sticker or new QR code appears to be placed over the original, it’s a red flag. Stickers are usually easy to spot, so avoid scanning codes that look tampered with.
- Check the URL Before Proceeding: When you scan a QR code, always double-check the URL before clicking. Does it look legitimate? If something feels off, it probably is—don’t proceed.
- Find an Alternative When in Doubt: If you’re unsure about a QR code, search for the car park’s app directly or visit its official website. Most car parks offer multiple ways to pay, so it’s best not to take risks.
